The SYL 960 will allow any videographer to take professional looking videos for a fraction of the price of a standard track dolly. However, lower price does not mean lower quality. The Glide Gear SYL 960 is of comparable quality with more expensive dollies available in the market, and has unique features that make it even better!
Made of aircraft grade 6061 aluminum alloy anodized to very tight tolerances, it is lightweight but extremely durable. It is capable of bearing rigs up to 35 lb although the dolly itself only weighs a few pounds. It is also highly portable, foldable to fit into a convenient carry bag so you can easily bring it anywhere. The SYL 960 is also versatile because it can be converted into a rolling camera dolly using the regular swivel wheel castors included in the kit and the legs can be extended up to 5 inches longer to accommodate wider tracks.
But perhaps more important than its strength and portability, the SYL 960 has the unique advanced sliding swivel wheel system that is not only capable of full 360° turns but the wheel housing can freely slide up to 1 inch, so uneven surfaces of up to 2 inches has no effect on the smoothness of the SYL 960 operation. Each swivel track wheel assembly comes with four track wheels (4 wheels) for maximum stability and each castor wheel has the 360° swivel and locking mechanism. These track wheels are made for movement along a track; it enables contact with the most track surface area possible.
